Glenn Fischer is the Global Director of Information Governance at Mayer Brown, where he leads the firm’s global Information Governance Program across all offices. With over 25 years of experience in the legal industry, Fischer is responsible for setting the strategic direction of IG, overseeing global policy development, driving cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and information security regulations.
 
At Mayer Brown, he has built and scaled a modern IG program from the ground up - integrating records management, leading change management efforts, and aligning IG with the firm’s risk, compliance, and innovation priorities. He leads a growing global team, develops firmwide training and education programs, implements technology solutions, and partners with stakeholders across IT, legal risk, KM, and operations to strengthen the firm’s data governance posture.
 
Fischer is IGP-certified and a former board member and past President of ARMA’s Metro NYC–Long Island Chapter. He is recognized for his ability to translate complex governance challenges into practical, business-aligned strategies that deliver long-term value.
